Yesterday was the girls 5Th birthday party. One of the guests was the owner of the group home Emily lived in until her 3rd birthday when we adopted her. She brought with her a stack of baby pictures. As soon as I saw them I started BAWLING in front of about 50guests. No one had any idea what was going on. I'll admit I'm crying as I type this. The first 3years of my daughters life have been a blank to me. Sure I have copy's of developmental milestones and a few pictures that were in her file for identification purposes(trust me none of them came close to being "cute" or anything you would want to frame or scrapbook) One of the staff members gave me a framed professional portrait she had taken of Emily. I had NO CLUE these pictures existed! I was so emotional about it all, how embarrassing. Words can't even possibly describe how grateful I am for these pictures. Happy birthday Emily, mommy loves you SO much!
