Fostermama has asked us to share with her our dream home. This is mine. I first eyed it 6years ago when Shana and I purchased our first home. This beautiful older neighborhood features a handful of gorgeous two story homes surrounded by hundreds of cute bungalows. In late 2001 we began the process of TTC and this house came on the market. I begged and begged and pleaded. Shana was "sure" we couldn't afford it. 6months later we built our current home for 40K more than this house had sold for. This is the house I take all our friends and family by and tell them that "someday" Id love to own this home. About 6months ago I went to drive by it and noticed it was for sale for 470K MORE than when I looked at it that winter of 2001. This market is amazing. I check in on the status of the house every few days, they have now dropped the price making it only 318K more than the listing price in 2001 and with the equity we have in our current home(its doubled its value) We could actually afford a home that cost over half a million dollars. But now, once again...Shana is holding out on me! I WANT THIS HOUSE! I haven't stepped foot inside this house in over 5 years and still I can remember every detail. The hardwood flooring, the fire places, the huge bedrooms, the den, the long galley kitchen the HUGE formal dining room(with plenty of space for a table for 10 AND my china hutch and side buffet) The 3car garage boasts a 2bed room apartment that would be perfect for my mom. The huge trees..the neighborhood...only 15minutes from Shana's office(in contrast to her now hr commute each way)
Why does Shana have to be so "practical" anyway? I "get-it" I do. She lived in the same home from birth until she moved in with me. We've lived in 4 different homes since then. A rental house, our first home, then an apartment while we built our current house, and then obviously the current house. I say "who cares"! I want that house! Ive mooned over this house for years and years. Its my Dream Home and I WANT it.
Ok Im done pouting, for now.
