Our yard smells absolutely breath taking right now. So many
flowers are in
bloom, and so many soon to follow! Its coming alive out there(finally after a loooong cold winter bleck) I thought Id post some progress shots, but I cant seem to figure out how to do an album. We purchased new arbors, One will go down at the end(or begining)of the
pathway. The other I managed to put up today next to the
sunroom! The fruit trees look invisible in the photos, lol. There are 5 of them and they are ALL already producing some fruit! The
front beds look sad right now because we had to rip them all out and fix the drainage and irrigation, hopefully they will perk up and fill in soon.
Last weekend I built a
fence(excuse the missing patches of grass, agian fixing drainage) in our backyard, its the first fence I've ever built and the grading of our back yard didn't help, but I think it turned out alright. We've got tons of veggies growing in the backyard in the raised beds(better pics later), I am completely stoked!
Ofcourse its all still in the baby stages, but considering we live in the desert and everyone told us NONE of these plants would grow here I think its quite an accomplishment! We've had to bring in tons and tons of compost and spend HRS and HRS with a rototiller just to get a shovel into this hard @$$ ROCK and clay.

wow. your yard is gorgeous! what a beautiful home! how do you have time to garden? is Olivia a helper?
My mom does most of the day to day upkeep. I usually help a few times per week doing big things, like moving plants(shes always wanting to do that!)moving compost, whatever. Olivia has her own set of garden tools and is great with 'helping' or I work this THIS! Thanks for the compliments!
:-D
Absolutely gorgeous!!!!! I love it. And wow, doesn't that do your back in to carry Olivia that way?
