And you thought it couldnt get any worse?

HA! It did.

I posted below that T had a reaction to her MMR. She developed a fever, rash and swollen lymph nodes (in her neck, under her arms, and in her groin). She was also highly irritable, wasn't eating or sleeping.

Thursday evening I paged our family pediatrician and she called me back, and instructed me to bring T in first thing in the morning. After she had a once over she sent us with admit orders to the hospital.

That night they did a stool sample and also found rotovirus(I wasn't expecting that!) We were finally discharged Monday afternoon. I wont go into the traumatic details that are inevitable when you admit a 13month old with stranger anxiety to a hospital and "throw the book at her" But I will share a picture taken on day 3 when Auntie Rae brought in a camera and T was finally well enough to remembered how to smile:

And for fun, I have to share these comparison photos...What a difference 5months makes(love my boy):

Thanks for the comparison photos - what a big boy!

Glad to hear you survived your hospital stay and are back among the land of the living.

i'm glad it was a short hospital stay & that T came through ok.
i'm shocked to see that they haven't changed the peds gowns patterns since 1987 (i may even have pics to prove it!)
