Merry Christmas!

This has been hands down the best Christmas for our family in many years! Having a house full of kids, the giggles the excitement and laughter has made this day so special. We really have so much to be thankful for. We decided this year that we would have the kids start opening gifts Christmas eve morning, one gift or so every few hrs. It REALLY made for a nice experience. We were hoping to avoid the rip/toss, NEXT, rip/toss, NEXT routine that is all too common with small kids and too many gifts. Shana and I had agreed on 3gifts for each child, but add in grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and godparents and our kids were seriously overwhelmed with gifts this year. Its now 8:23pm on Christmas Eve, the current state of my living room is:

and that doesn't include the two huge arm loads of stuff that was already evicted to the playroom. ::sigh::
Tomorrow Santa comes, O and J asked for Barbie Laptops, T has asked for a new peek-a-blocks set, and A is wishing for a musical baby gym!
I, Renee, the spoiled princess that I am(grin)received a HUGE upright freezer for my garage(yay! Thanks Shana!!) Tickets to Wicked, several books, scrap booking supplies and an ATARI(thanks Rae!!)gift cards, and I bought myself several pairs of new jeans!
For Shana the kids and I had this picture taken, and framed for her office:

How adorable is that pic of you and all your littles!! And I might steal your idea of spacing out the unwrapping. Jeremy (my 3 yo) was seriously bad about unwrapping a gift, looking at it for a mili-second, and going onto the next one. *rolls eyes* Merry Christmas to your gorgeous family!
