Contacts

I finally did it! I got my first pair of contacts. Im not so sure how I feel yet, given theyve only been in two hrs I think I need to give them a bit more time. What I am worried about its everything is fuzzy, its like I just dont have my glasses on, ok not THAT bad but I cant see clearly. Everything is foggy. My eyes hurt and feel tired. Thankfully these are just a trial pair, I'm not sure Im gonna stick with them. Anyway, here is a picture of me and Olivia today(sans glasses) Its gonna take some time getting used to how I look without my glasses! oh wow...i've worn contacts since...gosh...maybe 7th grade? honestly...it doesn't sound like they are a good fit if things are blurry. i find, that i see BETTER with my contacts than with my glasses. it's all about comfort. if the brand you've got are not comfortable...try another brand!

yeah they are REALLY bugging me. I called the office and they told me its because I wore the same RX and pair of glasses for SO LONG(5years) that its going to take awhile for my eyes to adjust and that blurry vision was normal. Im not sure Im buyin it. Ill give it till monday, if not better Im going back in. Thanks, I hope I too eventually see 'better' with contacts! ~~Renee

Oh Renee, this is so funny, because I remember browsing your birth photos a few weeks ago, and the image that has remained with me ever since is you in the bath and on the bed, sweating, anguished, and seemingly completely beyond normal consciousness and into some other birthing realm...with your glasses on. I thought, "Dang that woman must be blind!" I so glad for you. Now, maybe, just maybe if you give birth again, or go through any other momentous primal thing, you won't need to wear glasses! LOL!

Enjoy!
