The 80's called, they want their kid's back

Nana came for a visit and took the big girls(Maggie, Emily, Olivia) out to get manicures and buy new hair accessories in celebration of them starting Kindergarten.

I am a pretty regular visitor to your blog, and I just wanted to say I don't know how you do it. I have one 2.5 yr old I adopted from foster care and she keeps me hopping! I just love this picture of the girls in front of the mountain.

Hi! Thanks for the comments. The term was first coined by D.W. Winnicott(as you discovered) and I have heard there is even a book The Good Enough Mother---I haven't read it yet. I'm not sure why this blogger layout doesn't show the credit given to the quote I use, if you highlight over the header you can see its actually a quote from Rev. Vanessa Rush Southern. While I don't share her religious views this article struck a cord with me and in many ways helped me shape who I would become as a mother(thank goodness too because I really had set an insurmountable task for myself back in my: I will be "The Perfect Mother" days.

OMG! :) Emily looks just like what I looked like when my babysitters use to dress me up. Too funny.
