Adoption photo's and an update on Raechelle

after the adoption was final we all moved outside to take picture's. At one point Raechelle fell off the curb and twisted her leg and fell really hard. *I* didn't actually see it but I heard it. I cleared the area pretty quickly and someone called 911. Shana took all the kids along with our guests to our celebration breakfast and I followed the ambulance to the hospital. It took me over an hour to get ahold of Donna because I was trying her cell and work number and it never occurred to me that it was so early in the morning that she was still at home! duh! After they got Raechelle all settled in they let us go back. Because the court house we went to was so far away from where we live so was the hospital they sent her to. After they got her stable she signed herself out AMA and transferred to the hospital closer to where we live. The Dr there didn't want to "let her go" until they got an xray of her ankle(that was now swollen and really hurting her badly)...but she had also started to dilate and was now at 4cm and having painful contractions and the LAST thing she wanted was to give birth at that hospital....SO off we went. Donna drove her straight to the hospital and I stopped by her house to grab a few things(wouldya pack a labor bag now please Raech?) When she arrived at her hospital they reassessed her and decided to make a solid effort at trying to stop her labor. She has an appointment today for a level 2 ultrasound and it wouldn't be a bad idea to know before he is born what the current status is on his kidneys. Not to mention she IS only 35weeks and while that isn't necessarily too early anymore it could earn him some NICU time and obviously everyone wants to avoid that. So after several doses of various medications to stop her labor she was taken for Xrays. While the bones aren't broken she did damage the small tissue and ligaments and tendons so at 8months pregnant Raechelle is in cast and on crutches...poor baby! She kept her spirits up and even managed to pose for a few last minute pictures. You'll have to stalk her blog for the best ones, but Im stealing the one of her and I and posting it here :Þ So contractions are still coming off and on and she is still on complete bedrest and terbutiline every 4hours. Baby is coming soon.......
