For Sale

Our house that is. It is a terrible time to try and sell a house. As a matter of fact not one house in our square footage has sold in our city in the past 6months. I would like to add to that however the fact that the houses in our sq ft that are currently on the market aren't half as nice as ours AND we are listing at a very aggressive price(more than 150K LESS than we almost listed it for a year ago) But we aren't stupid we know this is a horrible time to sell and we've seen houses in our neighborhood come off the market after being listed for more than a year... That said... It is an AWESOME time to BUY a house, lol. We are looking at homes that are about 1,000sq ft smaller than our current home(and increasing our mortgage by more than a grand *gasp*)--BUT, we will(hopefully) have a pool and spa AND we will be *DOWN* the hill. The town we are looking at will get us to Disn*y Land in less than 30minutes...that is our playground! So send prayers, positive thoughts, good mojo whatever you can muster...we_must_get_off_this_hill!

Oh come on. You people disgust me. It's sooo not fair. I'm so jealous of your beautiful homes for such insane prices. I swear, if my husband could get a green card we might even look at moving.

We're looking at buying our first home in Australia where the average house price is $475,000. We're looking at anything between $320,000 to $420,000. And that's for a three bedroom home with no pool or spa or anything nice and fancy like that! All while paying $1500pm in rent.

I so want to see photos of your new place when you buy it.

maybe you aren't aware of the housing prices in Southern California? Because I live in a shit hole desert community and the price of my house depreciated over 150K in one year and to buy a home closer to LA(where we are headed)1500sq ft pool homes are priced around half a million dollars...so don't go thinking we have it all good or anything, lol.
I agree in some places in the US housing prices are awesome---not so in SoCal. The house I live in now would cost well over 800K in the town we are hoping to move to. We are down sizing big time.
