Southern California Snow Day....

Boots that aren't water proof because hey the snow doesn't stick anyway! Well in years past it has. For the past two winters we've gotten flurries that melt before they touch the ground. Still we had a fun snow day. I did laundry(because its never done, ya know?) and the girls alternated watching movies and running around in the frozen grass. We are one set of finger prints away from *finally* finalizing Emily's adoption after 2years! I spent a few hours working on a photo montage for her. We had court yesterday to TPR on Macks bio dad(3rd try) Her bio mom showed(we'd never met her, neither has Macks amazingly enough) I was bummed I wasn't there, Shana was in tears when she saw that bio mom had brought with her proof of parenting classes. Sorry lady, MUCH too little too late! Her rights have been terminated for well over a year. Still Macks bio dad(who's met her twice in her life)appealed again and *again* the judge didn't TPR. This time because bio dad decided to claim Indian rights. Its infuriating to me that they still give a sh*t what this man has to say. Macks has been with us her whole life, hes never made an attempt to visit or work a case plan but yet he still thinks he has a right to appeal at every court hearing. Our adoption worker said that in 90days(after the Indian act situation is resolved)TPR will be granted, but that we should expect him to appeal. One of two things will happen. 1) TPR will be upheld -or- 2)we will face yet another nightmarish year Worker and I both agree that given the history we will end up riding this storm for another year. This system is so unfair.
