Its that time of year again...

Spring Cleaning
My house is clean, its so clean its scary clean. As I mentioned before we hired painters who painted the interior of our home, all of it. Walls, trim, etc. In preparation we basically moved out of our house taking everything out of each room and eliminating at least 50% of the "stuff" we had around. Now that every inch of the house is freshly painted, carpets and upholstery has been cleaned, bathrooms, kitchen, blinds, windows everything has been deep cleaned to a sparkly shine....I have to take every opportunity I have to STAY OUT OF IT, so it STAYS clean! I seriously get depressed in the winter months because my house always feels dark, dirty and smelly. Our dogs are inside most of the time, shedding and smelling the place up. I cant open windows, and no matter how much I do clean it never really "feels" clean to me. I really dislike winter. But spring is almost here and the weather has been gorgeous. My mom has agreed to take the nanny's salary and help me with the kids laundry, bathroom and loft area. That is of course in addition to watching them as needed. I don't think I mentioned here that the nanny wound up working out all of 3days before I had to let her go. Incredibly sweet girl, I wish things had turned out differently, but they are what they are. Tomorrow we are off to spend some time with a fellow foster parent blogger. We've never met before and I'm always uber nervous about meeting new people, but I managed to refrain from finding a way out of it at least 100times in the past 2days. Yay me! lol We are going to Disney Land so I'm sure we'll all have a great time!

Your house sounds exactly like what I wish my house would be like. I seriously dream about eliminating half of my stuff. LOL.

Have fun tomorrow, can't wait to hear about it.

I need to feed off your energy to do the same to my house. My hubby is off work this week and we have every intention of spring cleaning and sorting the garage. Yet, here we sit at Wednesday with nothing accomplished. I think I'm going to read your entry a few more times. ;)
