She is a year old, and the first child Ive recieved who is a victim of physical abuse. Im having a hard time wrapping my mind around whats been done to her. Im just lovin' on her as much as possible. The other three girls are being so wonderful to her. I need a t-shirt that says "Don't blame me, Im just the foster mom"
I am taking her tomorrow to get everything documented, Im not looking forward to it one bit.

WOOOHOOO!!! Another little one!!!
I'm glad you were able to get back on that horse. :) I'm sure this little girl will make it all worth while for you.
None of our kiddos were physically abused before coming to us (that we know of), but at least one was neglected and even that was so sad. When a 4 month old has lived in her car seat her whole life, she's pretty damn floppy. A week of the real world toned her up real good.
I hope you enjoy this little girl and that she can get the services she needs to heal.
Oh my. Give that little one some extra huggles for me!
You know I'm in training to be a CPS worker right?? I totally want you on my caseload as a great Foster Mom!!!! Anyway, it is horrible what people do to their kids isn't it? That's one of the reasons for my job change - to make it better for the kids. Hugs!
My heart breaks to think of what that baby went through before she came to you. But she'll know love and caring and nurturing now. She's found a great home.
Yay! So sad about the abuse though, that must be so difficult. Lucky you will love on her like there's no tomorrow :-)
YAY and awwwww and oh no ....all in one breath. I'm so happy that you have another little one in the house now, and that she is getting the best of care and tons of love. Julie over at "House To Be a Home" had a girl with a broken femur in a sling from abuse - she could prob. relate well. We've never dealt w/ physical abuse either. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from you on this one. Congrats - funny how your intuition was so right!
