Visit from Junebugs social worker!

WOO! So we knew from the start that we were going to adopt J, but we didn't really know when or how the process would work. Shes been in whats called long term fostercare/placement since she was a young baby. So at placement we signed a long term placement agreement, stating that we would welcome her as a permanent long term member of our family. We were told if we choose we could offer her permanency by adopting her, and ofcourse we jumped on it! Well we sort of figured it would be atleast 6months before we heard anything more about moving forward with the adoption. SO today when J's social worker informed me she had referred her file to an adoptions worker(who would be contacting me soon) I got so overwhelmed I couldn't stop crying! She assured me we had already been "matched" to her and our homestudy approved so this worker couldn't decide otherwise(yes im paranoid, its HARD knowing YOUR child's fate rests in the hands of others)and that she isn't coming out to decide, but coming out to get the process going(again, I know Im paranoid!) So now we are just waiting for the phone to ring! 4days shy of 4months and we are on our way to making Junebug a (legal)member of our family, OURS! HOW DID WE EVER GET SO BLESSED?!?!?!
