Dad says goodbye, La Brea Tar Pits, and yet another PUMPKIN PATCH!
My father is moving across country(and taking my brother with him)and Im MAD about it. Yah yah so everyone has to do what they have to do and make the best choice for them and their future, yadda yadda yadda. But Im MAD I feel like Ive put down my roots here and now everyone has abandoned me! First it was my grandparents, who decided to retire and build their dream house(out of state) hello they had a perfectly fine cookie cutter house here in socal that they'd lived in for 30+YEARS...Fine ok, they deserved it whatever. Then my sister, decides to get married.....To....An....AUSTRALIAN! HELLO, whole. Other. COUNTRY JEN! so now shes gone. My cousins Jess and Beck moved to Florida, Nikki is going to be finishing college out of state. and now my father and brother are moving across country. IM ALL ALONE! I HATE it! Thanksgiving? who cares. Christmas? who cares. My kids birthdays? who cares. We are all alone, all by ourselves in California. alone.
So Ill pretend to be a grown up now, suck it up and go on with my post(but just so yall know I have tears rolling down my cheeks as I do)
SO we spent Saturday at the La Brea Tar Pits! Much much more than I thought they would be! We had a great time! Olivia so enjoyed the time alone with me and my parents, and her uncle Larry(who is also abandoning her btw) So if you happen to live in SoCal and have never been, check it out! Lots to do and see and within walking distance of some good eats.
Today Shana and I teamed up and cleaned the house, it so so needed it! Once we got it all clean and sparkly we loaded the kids into the car and headed to Victoria Gardens, Rae called it a mall(which it hardly is) its a Life Style Entertainment Complex(grin) The kids played on the play equipment, we ate California Pizza Kitchen(yum!) and then I went on a mini shopping spree at Naartjie. We finished off the afternoon at yet another pumpkin patch. The kids bounced, slid, spun, petted and picked before we called it a night! Thankfully they were all asleep and stayed asleep once we were home! Woo! We have a Fire Station tour at 9am with my MOMS club so I better get everything ready for that and try and get atleast 5hrs of sleep tonight!
