Well day 2 and 3 went as well as day 1! She's doing amazing! Yesterday we nursed at about 3pm(her nap time) and then not again until 4:20 this am. It helped that we went to the LA county fair so she had plenty of distractions. She did ask a few times, but a reminder that we only gee'd in our bed and an offer of a drink or snack was all that it took! Today she nursed before getting out of bed, again around 3 for her nap, and not again until going to bed tonight. I explained to her that tonight after she goes to sleep her 'gee's' will also be going to sleep, we opened the blinds so that she could see it was dark outside, I explained that if she woke up and it was still dark outside that she could ask me for a drink of her water, and a back rub to get back to sleep. She agreed! She nursed and then rolled onto her tummy and asked for me to rub her back and fell asleep (without, being latched on!!!! wooot!) We'll see how it goes tonight, I'm wearing a bra-tank to bed, and have a new sippy cup on our bedside table for her. *FX*
So the fair! What an awesome day! Loved loved loved it! We went along with Raechelle and Donna(who were celebrating their 7th wedding anniversary *happy day we love you*)
I spent way too much $$ but oh well, I had fun! Found some GREAT toys for Olivia....I'll include pics!
Olivia wasn't too sure about being inside the corrals for the petting area(goats and sheep) So I passed her over the fence to Shana and I kept on feeding the goats, how FUN! Poor things though, it was obvious they had been way overfed that day, several of them were burping and a few even vomiting(ewwww)
I too ate way too much junk, but enjoyed every bite!
We explored the 'fun zone' a bit but aside from riding the carousel we didn't ride any rides. I tried in vain to get _anyone_ to go on the sling shot with me, but they were all big chickens *pout* sure I could have gone alone, but what fun is it doing something like that and then having no one to share it with? oh well!

Nursing limits day 3 + the LA County Fair!

glad to know the weaning is going well, this is exactly how I weaned Harriet at the same age, down to before sleeps and wake up, than down to just bedtime. Much in all as you love your child is is so nice to get your body back all to yourself. Harriet too is strong willed and will come up with a cheeky retort, her latest is too poke her tongue out at us when we are setting a boundary..the girl has been seeing a fair bit of her timeout space
I'm so glad that the nursing limits are working so well for you. Sometimes I think we put off making changes because we're so sure that it's going to be so hard and then our kids surprise and do better than we expect.
See nay, you DO miss me ;) If I was there and not pg, you know I would've gone on teh slingshot ;)
