Olivia: Mommy, shhhhh, Mommy I tell you something....
Me: what would you like to say Olivia?
Olivia: I watch a movie this time for 2minutes to go to store AND I watch a movie next time, alright?
Me: Shana can you please get Olivia out of her carseat, my hands are full:
Olivia: Mommy you give Mama your stuff, then Mamas hand will be full and Mommies hands will be empty and YOU get me out of my carseat, alright?
Me: Olivia its been a while since you went potty would you like to go and try?
Olivia: no mommy you go potty
Me: but mommy doesn't need to go potty
Olivia: mommy doesn't need to go potty, Iya(how she says her own name) doesn't need to go potty. noone go potty, alright?
New car! Shana finally put me out of my 98' ford windstar misery *grin* We just bought a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica! I am completely in love with it! As we were leaving the dealership I noticed that the drivers seat moved a bit too much from left to right, the sales manager told me to bring it in Monday and he would have it taken care of. Monday I show up and the guy in the shop said it was a safety issue and not something he could fix and gave me a number to call. I call this number (its to the shop of the new car lot---they are jointly owned, I purchased mine from the used lot) They told me to bring it in Thursday at 9am(today) So I get there and the guy looks into the computer and says Im sorry even though your vehicle is still covered under factory warranty its not covered to be fixed here at our shop, he calls the sales manager who tells him the seat was inspected at his shop and found to be safe *insert eye roll here* This guy gives me the sales managers name and tells me to go over there in person to speak with him about the situation. As I was walking back to my car I decided to call my dad, he told me to turn around go back in and ask the guy if he could get one of his shop guys to come out and look at it and confirm it was a safety issue. He was more than happy to and even sent out the big boss who agreed that yes it WAS a safety issue. I took his name and drove back to the original dealership. The sales manager saw me drive up and came out. I said: Hi! So nice to see you again, I was here Monday and XXXXX inspected the car and informed me it was unsafe and sent me to the other dealership....as sales manager is about to cut me off I follow up with: YYYYY took a look at the seat and agreed with XXXXX that it is indeed not safe and needs to be fixed. He smiled big and said awesome and walked away. He got about 10feet away before coming back and saying: how did you get YYYYY to look at the seat? I said: well before I left the office I decided to go back in and ask them if they could get someone to just "reassure" me that it was indeed fine like you said it was, unfortunately he didn't agree with you. He smiled really big(cocky sob *laughing*) and said oh perfect! He came back out about 10minutes later and said: I spoke with YYYYY and he told me he felt it was more a safety precaution but I want you to know we will get this fixed for you(he also said about 10times about how expensive this tends to get, I just look at him blankly and blink) He then said: YYYYY also thinks that it needs to have t he seat track replaced, undfortunatly most of the time you cant just order a seat track you have to order a whole new seat(to which I continued the blank stare and blinking) He said they would put me in a minivan and call me when they know what's going on. So Im now driving a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country. At first I thought I might be somewhat sad to give the van back, but nope! I am so sad I cant drive my new car! I want it backkkkkkkkkkkkk. I have NO idea how long this is going to take, damnit! But atleast its getting fixed! If anyone here knows who I would want to call after they "fix"/or/replace the seat to have it inspected please let me know. I'll do some poking around online aswell. Something tells me I just shouldn't trust this guy, he just gives me a weird feeling. I want to get it inspected(even if I have to p ya out of my own pocket) just to insure he doesn't just try to rig it not to move, ykwim? Anyway so that's my latest drama, if your still following bless you! LOL!
****UPDATE!
I got my car back! woooowooooo! They took the seat out and quickly figured out the problem, turns out with these newer cars they are using rubber/plastic washers on the bolts to reduce vibration. The previous owner was supposedly a big guy and he just wore the washers out which is why it was shifting from left to right. They replaced the washers and viola no movement! I called my dad and he agreed that that made logical sense. I think Im just going to trust it and not look into it further. He showed me the old washers and examples of the new ones to show me that they are the same size/thickness as the originals would be. I got my car back, I got my car back *does a little dance*

Nice job sticking with it! I hope they fix it right and you can move on, but it sounds like a good idea to have their work checked out.
Great Olivia story!
Love the one about you handing stuff off so you can take her out!
Sorry about the car... that sucks. But since it was like that when they sold it to you, if it really is a safety issue, it seems to me they would have to take care of it. If not, you could always (I hate to do things like this but it works, which makes me even sadder) say you'd like a copy of their report, the manufacturer's recommendation, his name, the names of everyone who worked on it, etc and just mention ever so casually that you're lawyer needs them. But hopefully it won't come to that. Glad you love your new car, what little time you got to spend with it. So no pickup truck?
Olivia-isms are too damn cool.. :)
sorry you are having issues with your car...
peace...
That is absolutely unacceptable. You have threaten to also call the newspaper and a local TV station with a consumer reporter. Let them know that these guys are taking advantage of a woman. My daughter simply went to get her car washed, she paid for the $25 deluxe wash, but they did a terrible job and removed none of the tree sap. I drove back with her and the were ready to provide a complete redo, but they would not do until I showed up. That is unacceptable.
I've been reading your blog for about a month now. I thought it was about time I write you a note to say that I enjoy reading it.
Gosh, I just have the cutest neice! She's learning so fast how to get around doing things *hense mommy picking up toys as she gee's the baby* and she's SO smart!!! Love the car btw, the interior view you showed me earlier was awesome - and the outside looks really sleek ;)
